At Teach for 3 our professional development is not from a former educator or an education researcher who is no longer teaching. It comes from a veteran teacher who is still in the classroom facing the same challenges your faculty faces. Our PD is engaging, practical, and relevant. We specialize in helping teachers enhance classroom management and increase student engagement by offering real life examples of techniques that we are using in our classrooms today. We also recognize the depth of knowledge that already exists within your staff, so we seek to create space to allow your teachers to productively collaborate with one other in ways they typically can’t during hectic school days.
Also, we recognize that you may have an existing mentoring program that is informal in nature and that’s been in place for years. Maybe your new teachers are assigned a “mentor teacher,” but the structure of your system simply ends there. While you hope the teachers meet regularly and it’s helpful, you really don’t know. You’d like to give your mentoring program more attention and provide the resources and support your teachers need, but with so many other issues at the school to deal with, its hard to find the time.
